Children's Ministry
The children's ministry at Aldersgate is ALIVE. Our Sunday school curriculum is called Cross-Training — a unique rotation-style program where kids thrive. We also offer Elevate, seasonal events, VBS, and more for the whole family!
Sunday Mornings
Children's Sunday School
Sunday school classes for children starting at age 2 (by September 1st). A nursery is provided from 8:00–12:15 AM on Sundays for children under 2.
Cross-Training — 9:30 AM
Kids rotate through six stations — Art, Science, Games, Cooking, Movies, and Computers — exploring a different aspect of the theme story each week. Opening time includes songs, birthday recognition, and an offering. Each child through 5th grade must be checked in and out of their classroom.
Noah's Ark
Kids enjoy stories, songs, and crafts in a nurturing environment.
Daniel's Den
Kids learn about God's love through story, song, games, and crafts.
The Treehouse
Come join Noah the Bear and learn about God's love.
Clubhouse
Kindergarten–3rd Grade. Participates in Cross-Training — rotating through six stations: Art, Science, Games, Cooking, Movies, and Computers.
Fellowship Hall
4th–5th Grade. Participates in Cross-Training, exploring a different aspect of the theme story each week through hands-on experiences.
Sunday Care
During the 11 a.m. worship service, children ages 3 through 2nd grade may go to Sunday Care for stories, songs, and crafts.

Beyond Sunday school, there are plenty of ways for kids to get involved throughout the week.
Sonbeamers
A children's choir for ages 4 through 3rd grade.
Elevate
Pre-K through 5th grade. Kids start in a large group in the Clubhouse where the Bible story is introduced through a skit, then move to small groups covering the Bible story, verse, and main point.
Nursery
A nursery is provided for ages 2 and younger every Sunday morning.
Scouting
The scouting units at Aldersgate are some of the most active in the Quivera Council.

Yearly Events
From participating in worship to fun family events — there's always something happening for kids at Aldersgate.
Children's Sabbath
Children help with all three services — greeting, reading liturgies, ushering, or performing a musical piece. Pre-K through 5th graders are encouraged to participate.
Promotion Sunday
All students are promoted to their new classrooms and 3rd-graders receive a new Bible — a meaningful memory of Aldersgate.
Vacation Bible School
A fun, engaging, hands-on Bible learning experience for 4-year-olds through incoming 5th graders. Free to all! In 2026 we journey to Rainforest Falls.
Trunk-or-Treat Halloween Tailgate
Congregation members decorate vehicle trunks and pass out treats. A fun, safe family experience with activities and concessions — proceeds go toward the following summer's VBS.
Christmas Pageant
K through 5th grade children are encouraged to participate in this beloved annual pageant.
Get Involved
Become a Personal Trainer
Help teach the next generation! Being a Personal Trainer is only a 6-week commitment — pair up with a partner and it's just 3 weeks. You can also lead one of the six Cross-Training stations with lesson plans provided.
